This is a new PR Account Director role within a B2B communications firm that champions creativity within this sphere. They harness behavioral science, current affairs, philosophy, economics, and business trends to produce award-winning campaigns. They offer services that include media relations, social media, content creation, research and insights, sustainability advisory, and account-based marketing. They are rapidly growing and have a team in the States and in England.
The role offers scope to travel internationally.
The role would suit a savvy media strategist with a passion for applying creative thinking to B2B challenges, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment and is keen to make a mark in a global business.
Role & responsibilities
Developing and delivering on media campaigns for clients ranging from household name brands to scaleups
Constantly monitoring the media agenda to identify opportunities for clients
Speaking with media on a daily basis, pitching fast-paced and newsworthy stories
Developing creative campaigns that can be executed across an integrated mix of marketing channels for maximum commercial impact.
Directly speaking and partnering with clients, sharing insights on their industry and providing sound counsel
Managing and mentoring team members, including training junior staff in media relations best practice
Playing a role in new business pitches
Requirements:
A minimum of 6 years of B2B/corporate communications experience (previous PR agency experience required)
A proven track record in media relations – strong media relationships, knowledge of how different media work and examples of standout coverage
A strong account manager – someone who is comfortable counselling clients, with experience serving as primary day-to-day client contact in previous roles
A solid writer with experience in writing media-ready materials (press releases, bylines, pitches etc.)
Someone who has their finger on the pulse of the media agenda
A confident multi-tasker who is excited and motivated working in a fast-paced environment
Someone who is comfortable working in a flat-structured, meritocratic environment
